Chai tea is an Indian tea traditionally made with strong black tea, such as assam, and a variety of aromatic Indian herbs and spices. It is a staple drink in India and is consumed throughout the day.
The most commons spices used in chai tea include cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and pepper. In traditional ayurveda, chai tea is used for digestive disorders, throat relief, and a multitude of other purposes. A cup of spicy masala chai delivers a warming and soothing sensation and gives you a wonderful sense of wellbeing.
Chai tea is typically brewed at 90°C or higher. We also suggest 1 tablespoon of loose leaf tea per cup for those who are new to chai and then working your way up to a stronger cup of your liking. For an extra treat, try adding steamed or warmed milk.
At Bon Tea Place, we offer many different chai teas for health as well as enjoyment. Experience the flavours of India with our collection of chai blends.
